Queen Marys is a beautiful building that has three playrooms within the main building and two playrooms for children under two years in our separate baby unit. The pre-school building has three secure outdoor play areas for children aged 2-4 years. There is a fourth secure play area for children in the baby unit separate to the main building.

We are the only day nursery in the group, open for 51 weeks of the year, offering care for up to 72 children per day aged from 3 months to 5 years old.

We're open from 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Thursday offering the following sessions:

Half Day Morning - 8:00am - 1:00pm
Half Day Afternoon - 1:00pm - 6:00pm
Full day - 8:00am - 6:00pm

On Fridays we are open 8:00am to 5:00pm, offering sessions as follows:

Half Day Morning - 8:00am - 1:00pm
Half Day Afternoon - 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Full day - 8:00am - 5:00pm

The children can stay for lunch and tea with their friends. All our meals are freshly prepared by an award winning outside caterer (not included in sessional fees), please click here for more information.

Children are cared for by practitioners all with Early Years qualifications (or working towards them) and over 80% are qualified in paediatric first aid.

During their time with us, the children can make use of the extensive nursery grounds where they enjoy supervised play on climbing frames, riding bikes, cooking in the mud kitchen, exploring nature and making dens. Inside, the children enjoy a varied curriculum of exciting challenging activities and experiences, following the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. We operate a continuous provision, free flow play system, where children enjoy playing and exploring with a range of natural materials.

Parents input is valued throughout the nursery and we see parent partnership as key to ensuring the best possible outcomes for the children.
