Toye Box Early Years Centre

Toye Box Early Years Centre was established in January 2010 and is a purpose-built building based in the heart of a military community.

Our pre-school was judged by Ofsted as Good in every area in November 2016 - Read Ofsted Report

Management of COVID-19 - Read COVID-19 POLICY

The setting predominantly caters for military children from ages two to school age.  It also has some spaces for non-service children. We have four rooms in total – one room for two-three years olds and three rooms for three-school age. The Early Years Centre is within walking distance of a local infant and junior schools.

We have an enclosed outside area which has a sunshade, sandpit, mud kitchen, garden area and climbing frame for the children to explore and enjoy which is accessed in all weather - come rain or shine!

The setting follows the Early Years Foundation Stage helping the children to develop and grow.  We believe that the children in our care should be supported in a sensitive way to become confident, independent learners ready for life beyond preschool.  At Toye Box we recognise that each child is unique and learns at their own pace and our keyworker system allows each child’s needs to be catered for through individual planning to help them reach their full potential.  We operate free flow play as we believe that children learn best through play with adult support.  We value parents as our partners and work closely to gain shared understanding.

Children are cared for by practitioners all with Early Years qualifications (or working towards them) and all have Paediatric First Aid Certificates.

We welcome visits from prospective parents and children. Please feel free to drop into our pre-school, meet the practitioners and our children.

If you prefer to make an appointment, you can call Sarah on 01252 325307.
